This "Declaration" has aroused considerable support among astronomical librarians and has been translated into Italian and Spanish. We describe the contents of the Declaration, how it has progressed since its publication and its future prospects.

Asteroid (3200) Phaethon is a remarkable Near Earth Asteroid (NEA). It was the first asteroid associated with a meteor shower, namely the Geminid stream1. The linear optical polarimetry was obtained during several observing runs at the CASLEO in San Juan, Argentina, during 2003-2007. The Torino five-channel photopolarimeter was used on the 2.15-m telescope.
