Next Wednesday, 5 April, at the headquarters of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) in La Laguna, the first images obtained by the DRAGO-2 infrared space camera, developed in the Canary Islands by the IACTEC-Space team and launched into space on 4 January, will be presented. Designed, manufactured, launched into space and operational in record time, the DRAGO cameras place the Canary Islands as a benchmark in space technology.
Attending:
- Enrique Arriaga Álvarez, First Vice-President and Island Councillor for Roads, Mobility, Innovation and Culture of the Cabildo of Tenerife.
- Miguel Belló Mora, Commissioner for Aerospace PERTE.
- Rafael Rebolo López, director of the IAC.
- Álex Oscoz Abad, principal investigator of the IACTEC Space project.
The presentation will start at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by a press conference at 11:30 a.m.
