  • The dependence of the gradients of oxygen and nitrogen-to-oxygen on stellar age in MaNGA galaxies
We derived the oxygen abundance (O/H), the nitrogen-to-oxygen (N/O) abundance ratio, and their corresponding radial gradients for a sample of 1431 galaxies from the MaNGA DR15 survey using two different realisations of the strong line method: empirical R calibration and the Bayesian model-based HII-CHI-MISTRY (HCM) code. We find that both abundance

  • The Bias from Hydrodynamic Simulations: Mapping Baryon Physics onto Dark Matter Fields
This paper investigates the hierarchy of baryon physics assembly bias relations obtained from state-of-the-art hydrodynamic simulations with respect to the underlying cosmic web spanned by the dark matter field. Using the Bias Assignment Method we find that nonlocal bias plays a central role. We classify the cosmic web based on the invariants of

  • TESS-Keck Survey. V. Twin Sub-Neptunes Transiting the Nearby G Star HD 63935
We present the discovery of two nearly identically sized sub-Neptune transiting planets orbiting HD 63935, a bright (V = 8.6 mag), Sun-like (T eff = 5560 K) star at 49 pc. TESS identified the first planet, HD 63935 b (TOI-509.01), in Sectors 7 and 34. We identified the second signal (HD 63935 c) in Keck High Resolution Echelle Spectrometer and Lick

  • STELLAR POPULATIONS OF MASSIVE GALAXIES IN THE NEAR-IR: EXPLOITING NEW GROUND- AND SPACED-BASED LARGE DIAMETER TELESCOPE FACILITIES

  • Spectral properties of near-Earth objects with low-Jovian Tisserand invariant
The near-Earth objects with low-Jovian Tisserand invariant (T J) represent about 9 per cent of the known objects orbiting in the near-Earth space, being subject of numerous planetary encounters and large temperature variations. We aim to make a spectral characterization for a large sample of NEOs with T J ≤ 3.1. Consequently, we can estimate the

  • Spectral diversity of the inner belt primitive asteroid background population
We present new near-infrared spectra of 55 objects observed using the NASA InfraRed Telescope Facility and the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, along with visible spectra of 21 objects obtained from the SMASS and S 3OS 2 surveys, to explore the differences in spectral slope and curvature between the background and the families and to show that the
