In this contribution, the main characteristics of near infrared spectropolarimetric measurements are described, putting especial emphasis on the techniques to minimize the crosstalk between the Stokes parameters.

We describe a coronagraph facility built for use with the 4.2 metre William Herschel Telescope (WHT) and its adaptive optics system (NAOMI).
