  • MASTER Bright Flare 163942.75 +122414.4 discovery
The MASTER auto-detection system at Tunka (Baykal Lake) detected a new transient source at the position (R.A., Dec) = 16h 39m 42.75s, +12d 24m 14s.4, (J2000) with a typical uncertainty of 0.5" at 2011-06-04 18:34:49.39 (UT). The OT is seen at 2 images. There is CV type star inside error box B2=20.14 and R2=20.23 (USNOB). The unfiltered (0.2B+0.8R)

  • Mass function of IC4665 from UKIDSS-GCS (Lodieu+, 2011)
Knowledge of the mass function in open clusters constitutes one way to constrain the formation of low-mass stars and brown dwarfs along with the knowledge of the frequency of multiple systems and the properties of disks. The aim of the project is to determine the shape of the mass function in the low-mass and substellar regimes in the pre-main

  • Magnetohydrodynamic turbulent cascade of coronal loop magnetic fields
The Parker model for coronal heating is investigated through a high resolution simulation. An inertial range is resolved where fluctuating magnetic energy EM(k⊥)∝k⊥-2.7 exceeds kinetic energy EK(k⊥)∝k⊥-0.6. Increments scale as δbℓ≃ℓ-0.85andδuℓ≃ℓ+0.2 with velocity increasing at small scales, indicating that magnetic reconnection plays a prime role
