  • ELAIS optical ident. at 15um & 1.4GHz (Gonzalez-Solares+, 2005)
To identify the mid-IR sources with optical objects we use the data from the Wide Field Survey (WFS, McMahon et al., 2001NewAR..45...97M). This survey has been carried out using the Wide Field Camera (WFC) on the 2.5-m Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) on the Observatorio del Roque de Los Muchachos (La Palma). (2 data files).

  • Discovery of a nearby M9 dwarf
We report the discovery of a new M9.0 dwarf at only 8.2 pc, which we identified in our search for nearby ultracool dwarf (I-J>= 3.0, later than M8.0) in the DENIS data base. We measure a very high proper motion of 2.5arcsecyr-1. The PC3 index measured from its low-resolution spectrum gives a spectrophotometric distance of 8.2 pc. This makes it the

  • CUYS survey of Ha+NII ELG galaxies (Bongiovanni+, 2005)
The CUYS is being carried out on the 1-m Schmidt telescope located at the Venezuelan National Astronomical Observatory, Llano del Hato, Merida, Venezuela. Observations were performed in the second half of 1999 and the beginning of 2000. (1 data file).

  • Chemical abundances in stars with extrasolar planetary systems
In this article I review surface abundances in stars which host planetary systems. Recent spectroscopic studies of stars with and without planetary systems have concluded that stars which host planets are more metal-rich than those without planets. We discover more subtle trends of different chemical elements as the number of detected exoplanets
