Presentamos el estudio de lo que interpretamos como una posible hierofanía en la Cueva de la Lobera, en el santuario ibérico de Castellar (Jaén). El fenómeno consiste en que la luz solar, que se introduce a través de una abertura situada en el extremo occidental de la cueva, ilumina el área más interna de la cavidad durante breves instantes en el ocaso del sol alrededor de los equinoccios. Un aspecto muy sugerente de este acontecimiento es la forma que adquiere la mancha de luz proyectada por la abertura, que recuerda ciertas representaciones muy comunes en los exvotos en bronce y que podría haber sido recreada artificialmente. Este descubrimiento aporta información crucial acerca del calendario ibero y las características del ritual celebrado en el santuario. English Summary: Herein we report the discovery of a possible solar hierophany at the Cueva de la Lobera, in the Iberian sanctuary of Castellar (Jaén). The phenomenon consists of the brief illumination of the innermost area of the cave at the sunset around the equinoxes. Sunlight enters through an opening located on the western end of the cave. A very suggestive characteristic of the phenomenon is the shape taken by the spot of light projected through the opening. It is reminiscent of certain common representations in votive offerings and could have been artificially recreated. This discovery provides essential information about the Iberian calendar and some characteristics of the ritual held in the sanctuary.
