Descripción
We present here the preliminary modeling results for the close binary central star of the planetary nebula Pa 164. While parameter models for about 20-25 close binaries within planetary nebulae exist, this number is far too low to perform significant statistical analysis. To increase this number, we used the Phoebe modelling software to begin the modeling process. We used photometric data in the i, g, and r filters from the Zwicky Transient Facility available through their online archive, but no radial velocity data. So, we held the primary mass constant, and limited the secondary mass to a have main-sequence mass-radius function. A final set of parameters has not been obtained for this system, but the partial eclipse does indicate a likely higher inclination range, with the best results being in the low 80s regime. We present and discuss our best-fitting parameter sets.
