  • Characterising the colour and vertical structure of Saturn's haze using observations from the VLT/MUSE instrument
Saturn's atmosphere is characterised by a thick yellow haze that envelopes its entire surface. What causes this haze to be yellow, however, remains unknown. We argue in this talk that the yellow haze colour could be a result of two or more colour production processes.

  • CCD photometry of Mars crosser asteroids using small robotic telescopes
We present preliminary results of a photometric program aimed to study the rotational properties of the population of Mars-crosser asteroids by means of CCD photometry. We use a set of small robotic telescopes located in the Teide Observatory (Tenerife, Spain) and the Isaac Aznar Observatory (Alcublas, Spain). A total of 54 Mars Crossers were

  • Catalog for the ESPRESSO blind radial velocity exoplanet survey
Aims: One of the main scientific drivers for ESPRESSO, Échelle SPectrograph, is the detection and characterization of Earth-class exoplanets. With this goal in mind, the ESPRESSO guaranteed time observations (GTO) Catalog identifies the best target stars for a blind search for the radial velocity (RV) signals caused by Earth-class exoplanets

  • Bayesian cosmic density field inference from redshift space dark matter maps
We present a self-consistent Bayesian formalism to sample the primordial density fields compatible with a set of dark matter density tracers after a cosmic evolution observed in redshift space. Previous works on density reconstruction did not self-consistently consider redshift space distortions or included an additional iterative distortion

  • Automatic segmentation based in Deep Learning techniques for diabetic foot monitoring through multimodal images
Temperature data acquired by infrared sensors provide relevant information to assess different medical pathologies in early stages, when the symptoms of the diseases are not visible yet to the naked eye. Currently, a clinical system that exploits the use of multimodal images (visible, depth and thermal infrared) is being developed for diabetic foot

  • Accretion and outflow in V404 Cyg
We study the optical evolution of the 2015 outburst in V404 Cyg, with emphasis on the peculiar nebular phase and subsequent decay to quiescence. From the decay time-scale of the Balmer emission associated with the nebula, we measure an outflow mass Mwind ≃ 4 × 10-6 M⊙. Remarkably, this is ˜100 times larger than the accreted mass and ˜10 per cent of
