  • In-Orbit Calibration of ISOPHOT-S
We report on the in-orbit calibration of staring and chopped observations performed with the spectrophotometer ISOPHOT-S. Staring observations are calibrated using a Spectral Response Function which depends both on the signal and the elapsed observing time. Chopped observations are calibrated with a signal dependent Spectral Response Function

  • High z Radio-Loud and Radio-Quiet QSO Environments
We propose a systematic study of the environments of a representative sample of Radio Loud Quasars (RLQ) and Radio Quiet Quasars (RQQ) in two different redshift ranges: z˜3.1 and z˜4. These redshift ranges are optimal for the study of environment evolution in the early universe. Furthermore, the sample of RLQ and RQQ are designed to disentangle the

  • High Precision with the Whole Earth Telescope: Lessons and Some Results from XCov20 for the roAp Star HR 1217
HR 1217 is a prototypical rapidly oscillating Ap star that has presented a test to the theory of nonradial stellar pulsation. Prior observations showed a clear pattern of five modes with alternating frequency spacings of 33.3 mu Hz and 34.6 mu Hz, with a sixth mode at a problematic spacing of 50.0 mu Hz (which equals 1.5 times 33.3 mu Hz) to the
