Broad Relativistic Iron Emission Line Observed in SAX J1808.4-3658During the 2008 September-October outburst of the accreting millisecond pulsar SAX J1808.4-3658, the source was observed by both Suzaku and XMM-Newton approximately 1 day apart. Spectral analysis reveals a broad relativistic Fe Kα emission line which is present in both data sets, as has recently been reported for other neutron star low-mass X-rayCackett, E. M. et al.

An evolved donor star in the long-period cataclysmic variable HS 0218+3229Context: We present time-resolved spectroscopy and photometry of HS 0218+3229, a new long-period cataclysmic variable discovered within the Hamburg Quasar Survey. It is one of the few systems that allow a dynamical measurement of the masses of the stellar components. Aims: We combine the analysis of time-resolved optical spectroscopy and R-bandRodríguez-Gil, P. et al.

An Asymptotic Solution for the Navier-Stokes EquationWe have used as the velocity field of a fluid the functional form derived in Casuso (2007), obtained by studying the origin of turbulence as a consequence of a new description of the density distribution of matter as a modified discontinuous Dirichlet integral. Asan interesting result we have found that this functional form for velocities is aBeckman J. E. et al.

An anticorrelation between X-ray luminosity and Hα equivalent width in X-ray binariesWe report an anticorrelation between continuum luminosity and the equivalent width (EW) of the Hα emission line in X-ray binary systems. The effect is evident both in a universal monotonic increase in Hα EW with time following outbursts, as systems fade, and in a comparison between measured EWs and contemporaneous X-ray measurements. The effect isFender, R. P. et al.
