I am Adrián Sánchez Chaves from Madrid (Spain) and I did my Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering and my Master’s degree in Science and Technology from Space, both in the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH). Now I am a PhD student in astrophotonics in the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC). I am working in the LIOM team developing new technologies for the Small Exo-life Finder (SELF) telescope, a 3.5m interferometric telescope designed to direct image exoplanets and detecting biosignatures. I am currently working in the wavefront sensing part of the telescope in order to cophase all the sub-apertures and correct atmospheric aberrations using photonic solutions along with machine learning.
