Professional profile
Dr. Auxiliadora Padrón Brito is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Innovation in Optomechanics. She is in charge of solving the cophasing problem of the Small ExoLife Finder telescope (see Kuhn et al., 2025) together with other members of the team. Her research focuses on applying integrated photonic devices to develop new wavefront sensors for active and adaptive optics (see Padrón-Brito et al., 2026 or Padrón-Brito et al., 2024).
She is a physicist with a master's degree in Astrophysics and a PhD in Photonics by the Institute of Photonic Sciences, in Barcelona. Her previous experience lies mainly in the field of quantum optics, working with light-matter interactions at the single-photon level with cold Rydberg atoms.
She also has a strong interest in outreach and education, and has participated in several outreach activities throughtout her career.
