  • Mapping the Three-dimensional Lyα Forest Large-scale Structure in Real and Redshift Space
This work presents a new physically motivated supervised machine-learning method, HYDRO-BAM, to reproduce the three-dimensional Lyα forest field in real and redshift space, which learns from a reference hydrodynamic simulation and thereby saves about seven orders of magnitude in computing time. We show that our method is accurate up to k ~ 1 h Mpc

  • Magnetic activity evolution on the main sequence from the Kepler observations
The evolution of rotation and magnetic activity of solar-like stars is key to improve our knowledge of stars (e.g. ages). Several spectroscopic surveys have aimed to characterize the magnetic activity of solar-like stars in order to put the Sun into context and in time. By investigating the magnetic activity of other stars in a different parameter

  • Lensing without borders - I. A blind comparison of the amplitude of galaxy-galaxy lensing between independent imaging surveys
Lensing without borders is a cross-survey collaboration created to assess the consistency of galaxy-galaxy lensing signals (ΔΣ) across different data sets and to carry out end-to-end tests of systematic errors. We perform a blind comparison of the amplitude of ΔΣ using lens samples from BOSS and six independent lensing surveys. We find good

  • LeMMINGs - IV. The X-ray properties of a statistically complete sample of the nuclei in active and inactive galaxies from the Palomar sample
All 280 of the statistically complete Palomar sample of nearby (<120 Mpc) galaxies δ > 20° have been observed at 1.5 GHz as part of the LeMMINGs e-MERLIN legacy survey. Here, we present Chandra X-ray observations of the nuclei of 213 of these galaxies, including a statistically complete sub-set of 113 galaxies in the declination range 40° <δ < 65°
