  • The nature and structure of the emission line nebula K3-35: a very young planetary nebula with precessing bipolar jet-like outflows?
We present Hα, [NII]6583 and 6-cm continuum images of the emission line nebula K3-35. The optical images reveal an extended nebula (size ~=11x9arcsec^2 in [NII]) in which most of the emission originates in a very narrow (width 0.7-1.3 arcsec) S-shaped region which extends almost all along the nebula (~=7 arcsec). The 6-cm continuum emission also

  • SABIO: new system for telescope full scheduling and queue operation to be implemented at the Observatorio de EL Teide
SABIO is currently at the beginning of the specification phase at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (IAC). This system is aimed at providing full control over the complete set of telescope operations, ranging from tools for proposals submission and data entry until the final scheduling during the observations. SABIO will also manage the link

  • S266: a ring nebula around a Galactic B[e] supergiant?
A narrow-band Hα image and high-resolution spectroscopy have been obtained in order to investigate the nature of S266 and its central star MWC 137. The analysis of the stellar and nebular spectra suggests that MWC 137 is a B[e] supergiant located >= 6 kpc away from the Sun and not a Herbig Ae/Be star, as it has been traditionally classified

  • On the Reliability of Ring Diagram Analysis
A comparison between the results of applying a ring diagram analysis to two data sets is described in order to check the quality of the two sets and the reliability of the method. The series used have been obtained with two different helioseismological instruments with the same spatial resolution. A section of 30 × 30 deg2 about the disk center has

  • Near infrared light variations of CP stars. The SiSrCrEu stars
Twelve magnetic Chemically Peculiar (CP2) stars of the SiSrCrEu subgroup mostly brighter than the 7.5 visual magnitude have been investigated in the infrared at 1.25, 1.6 and 2.2 mu . The stars HD 74521, HD 90044, HD 119419, HD 125630, and HD 187473 are clearly variable in the near infrared with the same period as the visible light, spectrum, and
