Description

The SO/PHI Instrument on Solar Orbiter is a deep space vector magnetograph with two telescopes that provide magnetic, brightness, and velocity information on the full solar disk (Full Disk Telescope, FDT) and at high resolution of a part of the disk (High Resolution Telescope, HRT). Together with the unique orbit of Solar Orbiter, this combination of telescopes allows gaining exciting insights into many aspects of the solar magnetic field and magnetoconvection. Roughly four years after the start of the nominal science phase of Solar Orbiter and about half a year after the beginning of its out-of-ecliptic phase the SO/PHI team invites you to attend the first SO/PHI science meeting taking place on the island of Tenerife, in La Laguna, between 3 and 5 December 2025.
