The international team in charge of the Chromospheric LAyer SpectroPolarimeter (CLASP) space missions has carried out three successful suborbital rocket experiments, which have provided unprecedented spectro-polarimetric data of solar ultraviolet lines and an outstanding mapping of solar magnetic fields from the relatively cool photosphere to the base of the extremely hot corona. These suborbital space experiments were motivated by a series of theoretical investigations carried out by scientists of the POLMAG group of the IAC. The most recent mission, launched in October 2021, measured the intensity and polarization of the solar radiation across the 280 nm spectral region, containing the Mg II h & k lines, over a two-dimensional field of view. A meeting in the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) will take place on 18-20 October 2023 to discuss the latest results of the analysis and modeling of the unprecedented spectro-polarimetric observations acquired by this new space mission, led by Japan, the USA, France, and Spain.
