Dear Colleagues Both the Pre-CCI Meeting and the 81st CCI Meeting will be held in the EINSTEIN room of the ESA- ESTEC complex in the Netherlands. The nearest hotels are in Leiden (where the dinner will be on Wednesday night) and Noordwijk (on the coast). In anyone hasn’t yet made their arrangements, I attach the e-mail from the local organisers and the xcel with the list of hotels where ESA have a special rate. These can be booked through the ESA appointed travel agent (who charge a fee per booking but it’s still cheaper than the official hotel rate). The IAC delegation are booked into the ALEXANDER Hotel in Noordwijk in case you wish to contact us.
The programme is as follows:
- Wednesday May 22nd 14.30 – 16.30 Pre-CCI Meeting (earlier than usual) (1 national representative per member country, 1 per major international installation & the Site Managers of both Observatories.) For those arriving earlier check with the canteen if you want lunch. The meeting room will be available from 12.00 for those wanting a place to sit and use the WIFI. 17.00 Signing Ceremony for the new ESA – IAC Agreement (All are welcome to attend) 17.30 Departure by coach to Leiden 18.00 Boat trip 19.15 Dinner (All are welcome to attend the dinner but please confirm (so that the right number can be booked) by e-mail to the Meeting Secretary, Ms Tina Winoto – in copy above – and to myself. After the dinner the coach will take those staying in Noordwijk back.)
- Thursday May 23rd 09.30 – 13.00 CCI Meeting (There will be a coffee break about 11.00 and a buffet lunch at 13.00. All are welcome to attend but if you have not confirmed your participation in the dinner the previous evening please advise Tina and myself for the logistics of the coffee break and lunch.) The draft Agenda is attached for your comments and requests for additional points. Please note that if you wish present under Point 4 a brief oral or slide report on a major scientific or technological development at your installation, you must inform me of this in advance and ensure that your presentation will not last more than 5 minutes.
