This proposal aims to complete the consolidation of the European Programs Section (SPE) within the Transfer and Institutional Actions Office (OTAI) of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and expand its international reach. Following the progress made in previous phases—with a notable increase in participation and return in Horizon Europe (HE)—it is necessary to strengthen the current dynamic in order to formalize its structure and reinforce its strategic impact.

The planned actions focus on:

● Completing the internal structuring of the SPE (protocols, service charter, coordination, etc.).

● Expanding the mobility fund, facilitating the creation of international consortia.

● Strengthening the specialized training of technical staff and the research environment.

● Promoting the active participation of the IAC in European programs, partnerships, and forums.

● Systematizing knowledge and developing strategic materials to highlight the capabilities of the IAC.

ALPHA-STAR will consolidate the SPE as a key unit for increasing the competitiveness of the IAC in Horizon Europe and thus strengthening its international positioning.
