Description
Near-IR standard photometry (J, H, K, L and M bands) of 38 IRAS sources with FIR colors similar to those of known planetary nebulae is presented. They are classified according to their IR global energy distribution from 1 to 100 microns. Although it is not possible to reach a definite conclusion about their evolutionary stage, there are clear indications that most of them are in the transition phase from AGB and post-AGB stars to protoplanetary and planetary nebulae.
