Description
Thirty Seyfert galaxies have been studied for bright sources. The
photometry is reported and three of the more unusual galaxies (Mrk 705,
Mrk 817, and Mrk 1095) are individually discussed. It is confirmed that
infrared emission in excess of the stellar contribution is commonplace
in Seyfert galaxies. Attention is drawn to the J-K colors of the
galaxies which are generally redder for the Type I Seyferts than the
Type II's. This can be explained either thermally or nonthermally.
