Description
GRIS is the spectrograph developed by IAC, installed in the German solar telescope GREGOR of the Teide Observatory. It is a fundamental instrument for solar spectropolarimetry research, in the largest solar telescope in Europe. The instrument is in continuous improvement, to expand its scientific capability and to demonstrate technologies for the EST.

    AOLI (Adaptive Optics Lucky Imager) is a state-of-the-art instrument that combines the two best existing techniques to improve spatial resolution: adaptive optics and "lucky imaging". The objective is to obtain images in the diffraction limit in the visible spectrum, with the WHT telescope and, in the near future, with GTC.

    ANDES - ArmazoNes high Dispersion Echelle Spectrograph
    ANDES (ArmazoNes high Dispersion Echelle Spectrograph) is an instrument under study for ESO’s forthcoming Extremely Large Telescope (ELT). The contract to begin design studies for ANDES, formerly known as HIRES, was signed in 2016 by ESO. IAC is one of the more than 30 institutions in the ANDES consortium.
