Description
The image is a mosaic of 12 tesserae taken in the red filter (which provides higher resolution) with a 14-inch telescope, which took about half an hour. For each of these, 1,000 images were taken (12,000 in total) from which approximately 20% of the best quality were selected. The final image has about 100 million pixels, with a resolution equivalent to about 350 m/pixel at the distance of the Moon. We suggest downloading the file and enjoying the details that can be seen on its surface. Credit: A. Rosenberg (IAC) y D. López / IAC.
