"As the collection itself indicates, this History of Astronomy is a ""flash"" of characters, events and theories related to Astronomy over time. This short walk begins in Prehistory, passing through ancient cultures, to reach the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Modern Age.
In this last period is where the author, observer of the IAC in the Observatorio del Teide and current Editor-in-Chief of the journal Tribuna de Astronomía y Universo. Apart from the chronological evolution, it reflects the spatial expansion that takes place as we advance in time as the knowledge of the cosmos expands and improves.
At the same time, it relates the cultural evolution of each era and the conception of the world by means of facts that are decisive for astronomical knowledge. Another of the topics dealt with is the instrumentation used in Astronomy, with special emphasis on the telescope. "
