CosmoLAB is a project of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands in collaboration with the Cabildo of Tenerife. Its main aim is to encourage the educational community of the island to identify the scientific culture, the sky of the Canary Islands and its observatories as part of its own natural and cultural heritage.
Within the framework of the project, theoretical and practical training courses are carried out for teachers, CEPs (teaching centers) are provided with high-quality astronomical material to carry out observations, teaching materials are developed to work on concepts about the Universe in the classroom, and continuous support is provided to the entire educational community.
There was a first edition of the CosmoLAB project from 2017 to 2021, having a great impact on the educational community. This second edition runs from 2023 to 2027.
