Description
Since 1984 the measurements of a quadruple photometer sited at the
Observatorio del Teide (Izana, Tenerife) made it possible to identify
the p-mode luminosity spectrum with simultaneous velocity observations.
Comparing this data, the adiabatic behavior of solar atmosphere and
theoretical expectations from solar models were tested. In order to
increase the signal-to-noise ratio and reduce the sidebands due to the
night-time data gaps, a second identical photometer was set-up in
December 1987, at the Observatorio de San Pedro Martir (Baja California
Norte, Mexico). Results of the observations of these two stations are
analyzed and compared with simultaneous velocity measurements.
