The European project GLORIA will show this phenomenon live via the website sky-live.tv in collaboration with TVE (Spanish National TV).
It will be visible from Western Europe, South America, and the East Coast of North America, with its maximum centred on the Atlantic Ocean.
This eclipse is especially interesting because it is the last in a series of 4 eclipses of the moon which started in April 2014 and the only one of the series visible from Europe. Furthermore it will occur when the moon is full and at its nearest point to Earth. The Moon will be at its minimum distance from the Earth at 1.45 UT (Universal Time, which will be one hour more in the Canaries and two hours more in the Iberian Peninsula) on September 28th, so that we will see it as a Supermoon, the biggest of the year. These conditions will not be repeated (the biggest Moon of the year and a Lunar Eclipse) until 2033.
