The director of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), Rafael Rebolo, the Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, Alicia Vanoostende, and the director of the General State Administration of the Island, Miguel Angel Morcuende, inaugurated on Tuesday, September 15, in Santa Cruz de La Palma, the interactive exhibition "Lights of the Universe" on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Observatories of the Canary Islands. Rebolo, together with IAC researcher Juan Antonio Belmonte, curator of the exhibition, explained to the audience the contents of this free interactive exhibition, which will be open to the public until 10 October at the Palacio Salazar in Santa Cruz de La Palma. Guided school visits will be organised as complementary activities to this exhibition.

The Museum of Science and the Cosmos, Museums of Tenerife, Spanish Television in the Canary Islands (TVEC) and the scientific institutions present in the Observatories have also collaborated.
